Student Spotlight: Symphony Webb, Prairie View A&M University

Getting to Know Prairie View A&M Student Symphony Webb

Student spotlight stories are our favorite posts to share. It gives us the opportunity to learn more about our students and the various experiences and skills that they have. For this post, we connected with Symphony Webb, a communications major at Prairie View A&M University.

Communications students work on a variety of different projects during their educational journey. Some of these projects call for many types of audio, written, and visual artifacts and also require particular skill sets. When we saw Symphony’s profile, we thought she did a great job including the appropriate artifacts and documenting her contributions to each of her works.

Aside from all of the great work she is doing in the classroom, Symphony is also very active in her community. She started her own blog as well as a YouTube channel to offer fashion and makeup advice. With Seelio, Symphony was easily able document all of these experiences and skills in one place where she can showcase all of the great work she is doing to potential employers.

We had a chance to talk to Symphony about her experience and advice for other students. See what she had to say:

Bringing Your Passion and Experience to Online Courses

We’ve met a number of students who come to their classes with an impressive amount of passion and prior experience. Nathaniel Berrios is one of them. He’s taking online courses in software systems engineering through Colorado Technical University. When we saw his work pop up in the Seelio activity feed we had to reach out to learn more about what he’s already accomplished, how he discovered his passion for systems engineering, and how he’s connecting his past experience with his current online courses.

See what he had to say and his advice for other students who want to explore the world of programming.

Surprised by Seelio- The Difference A Semester Can Make

We know there are lot of choices out there for sharing your professional story. At Seelio, our goal is to make sure that it’s as easy as possible to take the things you’re experiencing in and out of school and connect them to whatever it is that you want to do next.

A lot of students first encounter Seelio in one of their classes, and we know that with papers, projects, exams, and all of the other things that come with school that it can take awhile to get comfortable with something new. That’s where our service team comes in. They’re always at the ready to help students and faculty get started and have a great experience on Seelio.

One day, David, one of our educational service leads struck up a conversation with a student at one of his partner schools to see how things were going. We loved hearing her story and wanted to share it with you in case you just learned about Seelio in one of your classes and you’re wondering what it’s all about.

Without further ado, meet Kaley Young, a recent graduate from Purdue University Calumet who studied Management Information Systems and encountered Seelio in her Honors Capstone course.
